Wolf Creek, Colorado Adventures.....

For Christmas Break ...we went to South Fork, Colorado. We left the day after Christmas for our adventure.....it snowed 30 inches the night before, so there was lots and lots of SNOW! The most snow my kids have ever seen....they loved it....It was cold...the first day we went skiing , it was a high of 15....yes.....COLD....FUN!!!!! We skied at Wolf Creek.

We stayed in a Condo with Terry & Tish Murrell and their whole crew....plus, Chase, Zack and Jarrett....14 people all together.... Some of the brave ones, skied all 3 days. We went to ride snowmobiles on Tuesday....it was sooo much fun...sometimes a little scary, but mostly FUN!

Looks like we will be going back in the future...

Weather

The weather is down right cold....and I do not enjoy going out into it.

I would rather stay at home in my old sweats and curl up on the couch , watching movies or reading a book. It is hard to get to do that with all the activities that are going on right now.

But, at least when we do get to something ....it is marking one more "to do" off my LIST.
Yeah....one less thing to remember or be at. It gets kinda crazy this time of year. Of course, it is all worth it.......

I hope everyone has a Wonderful Christmas!!!!

Friendship......

I have recently had somethings in my life happen...And it makes me so happy that I have GREAT girlfriends to talk it over with...they listen , always .......cause, you know I talk a lot....hehe ...

Anyway, they give advice and most of all they give SUPPORT......I LOVE them with all my HEART!!! I'm so lucky to have them in my life. When I first moved to Tulia ( almost 16 years ago) I knew no one...and it was very sad for me.

But, when Bailey was 2 , I was introduced to a great gal.....Tish....she just took me right in and it did help that she had a boy( T) who was 2 too. So, we became fast friends.....there have been times in our years that we not see that much of each other.....she was going to school, I was working, she was working, she was going to school....but, we have always stayed friends.....in the past she was there supporting me and I hope I was there to support her....we both have twins....another bond....lol.....

I have many others gals too....Tandy(sister-in-law), she is more than that......more of a sister to me....I'm closer to her than my own sis.....we have always had lots of fun together......she is really good to my kids too. Plus, many others ......the list goes on and on......

I LOVE YOU ALL......Forever

Trying to Be Positive!!!!

As, you can guess from my top line....that I am trying to be positive.....DANG! it is not working very well for me. I'm just not good at it. I think it is something in my genetic make-up...to always dwell on the negative......like I was made that way.....Why can nothing ever seem to be right......Why?
Maybe i need a pill to help me? Who knows. Not Me!
Maybe I'm just feeling sorry for myself!!!!
Some would ask why I would feel this way.......I guess you would have to walk in my shoes for awhile to understand. This has been a hard year on our family. Not that it has not been on the others. I guess it is just LIFE!!! Right....your kids can not always be happy and they have to go through things ......it is just part of life. The good and the bad!!!!
Our kids grow through experiences.....I know this.....maybe I have always wanted to leave a bubble around my kids... so something could never hurt them...but, that does not work in the real world.
Hopefully. it will all work out in the end.

Well, the kids and I went to Stephenville to spend the holiday with my mom , my sister and family and my brother and his family.....It was really good....We had not been, since June. All things come to an end

Well....tonight was the last football game for the 7th grade. They lost to Childress 12-0...It was really disappointing to the kids(have to say this because they have 2 girls on their team)...But, what a great season 6-3 and 4-2 in district. They really have some talented kids on there team. It will be nice to not have games on Thursday nights...sitting in the cold....but, it will be missed too... It is just one more mildstone that we have gone through........
Oh yeah....basketball starts next week....games for Bailey on Tuesdays & Sat or Fridays....and practice for Aaron...that means 2 mornings a week of early practices (6:30 am) YUCK!!!! Yes, I'm the lucky one that has to take him......oh boy.....they JH does not start having games until the 17th....and the first 2 games are out of town....they play on Mondays.....

Vote

Today is the big day....I went out and voted this morning...Wow , it is so great to live in a country that gives us the freedom to express our opinions. It feels great.....Each one of my kids have asked me today...when I picked them up from school....Mom did you vote? I answered yes....Did Dad vote.....no, not yet but as soon as he gots off work he will.....It is just wonderful to see them so excited about the whole concept of voting for president..... I do not remember that as a kid....I do not remember asking my parents about whether they voted or not and who for.....maybe it is just my age and too much time has passed that I do not remember ....or if it was not talked about and discussed at school in such great detail as it has been this year....We are making history after all...wether it is the first black president or the first female VP(which is what I am hoping for) ......this is a day that will be remembered in history forever.....
GOD BLESS AMERICA !!!!

getting better

Took Bailey to the dermatologist yesterday, this is the 4th time that we have been. She got a planters wart on the heel on foot., oh this was in the spring.... If you have never had one, I hear they are very painful. And of course, hers was in a bad spot to begin with. Well, she got the all clear yesterday....We are so glad....we really wanted in cleared up before basketball started. She had to have in froze everytime that we went.....oh she would just cry and say how much it really hurt. So, we were glad that she did not this time and that it is gone.....Yeah.
Then we went to see Dr. Freeze and she has a sprained wrist.(it has been bothering here for some time now). She can not work out for 1 week and no lifting for 3 weeks. Hopefully, the coach will not be too upset. With Bailey, it always seems like there is something. You know , she gets over one thing to just have something else.....so is the life with a active teenager.....

teenagers

Why is it teenagers feel that they can say anything to anybody these days ? It is like that do not have a edit button at all. Are we not teaching are kids morals these days? It really suprises me what they say...even my own kids. They are so rude to each other. They call each other names....stupid, dumb, crack head....whatever. I hate it....The people who love you and will always be there for you.....you put down or act ugly too. Why?

I guess because my kids are getting older they seem to be getting more physical with each other...hitting, slapping, trowing things at each other......it has been this way since the summer.....I was so ready for school to start...just so they would be gone all day and away from each other. Dexter just does not understand why I am so drained by the time he gets home....I am constantly yelling stop....do this...get ready for bed...get in bed...sit down and eat your food....stop talking to your brother like that......all I want is quiet!

I love my kids very much.....but, I wonder what I have taught them....I have always thought of them as good kids....other people praise them on their behavior....why is that they feel they can treat me this way or each other this way! Have I given them too much and not had them earn what it is they desire? Why is they are always asking for something new and better? I did not have much when I was growing up....the name brand stuff...but, I do not remember being unhappy. No, I was not in the popular crowd .... but, I still had friends and I did enjoy high school. Who you are in hs does not mean who you will be in life.....

Life at our house

Needless to say it is crazy at our house.....I mean the kids are always running from one thing to the next or should I say...I'm running them all these places. With Bailey in HS , there is always somewhere to go or to be....she is not driving yet....so that is alot. She is not as busy as last year....no volleyball or cheerleading....believe me there is still alot. Aaron is in 7th grade so he is playing football...they have practice everyday after school until nearly 6pm....and then games on Thursday night. Brenden played soccer right before school started..so, we had games every Monday & Tuesday nights....but, he really loved it....and he had the best coaches .....He is not playing flag football...kinda glad about that....he is taking piano, so that is on Mondays at 4.....and of course, he is suppose to practice 3 to 4 times during the week....sometimes that is hard to do....We are getting really busy now....buying our pigs for stock shows....working on the pins and just getting it all ready....we do have 3 pigs now.....looks like we will have 9 or more before it is all over with.....It is hard trying to keep up with it all....but, they are worth it in the long run....until later
