Spring has sprung!

Well, it has been awhile since I've posted.....Yeah I know...it has been pretty crazy at our house.

We went to Houston for Spring Break for the Stock show. Along the way, we stopped over in Stephenville for a few days to visit with family. It was great to see them all. We had not seen them since Thanksgiving. Everything was well and the weather was nice....All in All.

Aaron place 7th with is Hamp. Bailey placed 10th with her Duroc. Drew went to the truck. 2 out of 3 is pretty good. We had a nice time while we were there, but glad to see the stock show coming to an end. We LOVE it....but, just glad to see somethings come to an end.

Bailey has been extremely busy....with Tennis & OAP. She will be done with tennis next week, that is when they have district. And OAP finished up yesterday......they did not advance to regionals....they are such a talented group of kids....I was sorry to hear.

This last weekend, we had Pake & Tate at our house. KD & Tandy were gone to Nascar in Ft. Worth/Dallas. Wow...the boys had such a great time.....those boys just fit right in with my crew. They road dirt bikes , went to Little Dribblers games.....just had fun!

The kids and I have been trying to go to some of the baseball games ..when they are here in town and the weather is nice.

I am going to Floydada tomorrow for the JH track meet tomorrow to watch Aaron. So far, he has won the 110 Hurdles at all track meets....So, hopefully he can keep it up until district.

San Antonio

What a week!

Drew got a 10th place with his Duroc and Aaron got 10th place with his York. Bailey went straight through....it was okay, she was not upset. This was a backup pig that she took and plus, she had just gotten back from Ft. Worth, where she got a 5th place with Hulk (York). All in all we had a great time.

Went out to eat at Texas Land & Cattle with Brad and James Hill. Plus, we all stayed at the same hotel (Drury Inn). So, the kids swam all week in the indoor pool, I enjoyed the hot tub.
The weather was really nice the whole time we were there.

Got to visit with several people while we sat in the stands....Bailey and I went shopping at the outlet mall in San Marcos.

Of course, I am still doing laundry......UGH!

Happy Valentines Day!

Hope everyone has a great day. Mine will be a little lonely....

Dexter and the big boys are gone to San Antonio...they left yesterday, had to haul pigs down for the show.

Bailey is gone to D Now until Sunday morning.

So it is just Brenden & I . We are trying to stay busy, rented movies last night and finishing up all my washing and packing. We are leaving tomorrow morning to head down.
The weather is suppose to be nice for most of the week. I'm ready to be away from here, just ready for a break from it all.

Before it all starts again...And I have no time to myself......

We are going to go to a movie & out to eat......he's my little Valentine!

Have a good week......Pray a little prayer...that my kids do good at the show.

Gosh!!! I just do not know what to even say.....

This is one of those times...that I am feeling like I want to write something to express my feelings. I know that is it hard to be a teenager in this time .....and it seems like there is always some kind of DRAMA....or at least that is the way it is in my house. I just do not understand why kids/teenagers are so cruel to each other. I mean they could be "best friends" with someone one day and the next they are spreading rumors and talking about each other. Why? What for? It is so crazy .

Maybe I do not remember how it was when I was that age. I remember girls being ugly and stuff...but, it is just gotten out of hand.

I guess with this new technology that is available...it makes it easier. The prank calls...the hateful texts that they send to each other.....they can do it so easy now....they do not have to look at that person in the eyes and say it.....our technology has made it too simple. They have labels for everyone it seems these days....is it the movies we see, the song we listen to...that it is acceptable for them to be so hateful towards one another.....

I wonder have I been raising my children right? Will they say or act ugly towards others? I am sure that they have....I'm not always around to tell them not to. And as I was told by one of mine.....Would you not want to defend myself, when people are saying stuff about them. Yes, I want you to defend yourself....but, you do not have to ugly about it. I have just about decided that ignoring it, is almost the best way to go about it. But, it is not me they are saying stuff about. Eventhough it does make me sad to know that it is happening.

It saddens me that kids can be friends with someone for 12 or more years....and then it seems like in a day or so....they are not even talking. Why? No one is always happy with their friends....but, that does not mean that you do not care about them.....Come on!

Learning to accept our differences may be a something that we are not teaching our kids these days. Things happen....people talk....no one is perfect! Right.

Girl Friends.......

WOW!!! Is all that I can say.

I have some amazing girl friends in my life. Last week I had my birthday. And it was the BIG 40. YEP!
I was told by Tandy that she was picking me up at 9:30 am on Sat. morning and to ready to go. I had no idea what to expect...I was told nothing....just to be ready.

I was kidnapped...that it was I like to say. Tandy & Tish had been making all the arrangments and had set it all up. They took me to Lubbock and out to lunch at Harrigan's. We meet Chalone there. Then they took me to a SPA for the afternoon......we got massages, facials and pedicures. WOW!!!! It was awesome. And I had no clue........It made turning 40 really special. Something I will never forget and will always cherish.

On Sunday....Bailey & I went to see Deirkes Bentley & Brad Paisley....it was an awesome concert.

Stock Show

This past Saturday was the Tulia Stock Show and Sunday/Monday was the Swisher County Stock Show.

What a weekend! It was long and we are all very tired. But, it was a good weekend for us too.
Drew won Breed Champion Duroc for both shows and Bailey won Breed Champion York for both shows too.

Drew won the Jr. Swine Showmanship award for the Tulia Show. Bailey won the Sr. Swine Showmanship for the Tulia Show.

For the County show , they give 1st, 2nd & 3rd place for showmanship.
James Hill won 1st and Drew won 2nd in the Jr. Swine division.
Bailey won 2nd place in the Sr. Swine division.

It was a great weeekend.

Looking Up

Things are starting to look up around our house.

Bailey was told on Friday, that she will be on the JV Maron team....now....permantly.....
WOW! Been waiting for this day for a while. This is some really good news for her( and us). This whole season she has been working for this! YEAH!

They played in Dimmitt last night....lost my 1 point. It was a really good game...So proud of the Lady Hornets!!! It was the first District game. They will be home next week on both Tuesday & Friday...come out and support our Hornets!!!!
